This Monday, I received my copy of Delta Green: Eyes Only, a supplement for Delta Green - a modern-day setting for Call of Cthulhu.
And I'm going to tell you why you should have ordered this book when you had the chance. But now it is sold out, and it's too late (though I hear some people sell it on Ebay for $85+...).
The bulk of the book consists of three chapters:
- Machinations of the Mi-go: A mini-sourcebook on our favorite space crustaceans - their technology (I especially like their surgical tools!), their magic, and their machinations in the 20th century and earlier. What's not to like?
This chapter goes out of its way to make them creepy as hell - as they should be.
- The Fate: An occult conspiracy/criminal organization based in New York, which could easily be the forerunners of both the Children of Chaos and the Disciples of the Unnameable. And as it happens, it's run by the same guy who also runs the Chrysalis Corporation. Learn more about his modus operandi, his henchmen (some of which might still be around), and more!
- The Philadelphia Experiment: What happens when scientist sponsored by the American military dabble in Science Man Was Not Meant To Know (and nearly destroy the world in the process). This experiment was conducted in 1943, but it has vast repercussions which can stretch a long way into the future - or the past! As the NEG grows ever more desperate, they might again dabble with things like this - or possibly they have done so already...
Oh, and there are a bunch of adventures in the book, too - though some of them are probably a bit hard to convert to the Cthulhutech period. But they are still very good.
And no, I won't give you my copy. _________________ The Cthulhutech Wiki

| Got my Eyes Only from a dude on rpg.net, got my DG corebook from my local store, Midnight Comics. Now I wish they'd hurry up and reprint Countdown in hardcover, and I can have all 3. |

Highly recommended reading for any Lovecraft / Mythos fan. No offense to the guys here at C-Tech, but those at Delta Green have set the standard high for quality in games. My Alternate Zone thread was inspired by the Philadelphia Experiment chapter. _________________ - iicf

I was flicking through the Migou section at my local and I have to say their description of Migou surgery freaked me out, which is awesome. _________________ "You went on and on about how sweet the candy was, then told me not to put it in my mouth, and got mad at me when I did."
